Im having a really strange problem with some of my backups, some work online no problem, im using swap magic, but i also have copies of cogswap and dvdloader, none of these fix the problem, i have searched these forums, and other forums for a solution to this problem, but as yet i am unsuccesfull, the backups in question work perfectly otherwise, but as soon as i select the online option, the console stutters and i get the ren screen saying please insert origional ps2 game, any sugjestions would be greatly appreciated as im all out of ideas

Then the games are not patched correctly! What do you use to patch them? I got all my backups to play online perfect! I dont know what is your problem! But try patching them again.

i use the online backup method found at http://www.ps2nfo.com/on-line.html and it works with some games, smackdown vs raw works perfect online, and i patched that with an id for a different game, but for some reason, it doesnt work with any of the games i want it to work with, even with the correct id`s, like call of duty, killzone, ghost recon 2, they all get to the same point when starting a mp game, and the console seems to reset and i get the red screen sayin please insert a ps2 game, its a very wierd problem, is there an alternative way of patching the games that works better???

You use the same DNAS code from the original or one from another game? Does Smackdown Vs Raw has a lot of people online? Cause I went online and there was no one online!
