I got the Afterdawn Guide for "Burning pre-authored DVD-Video
using Nero." The guide is straighforward enough but...
But I am using Nero Express that came with my OEM BenQ (firmware
updated) and Smartstart only gives me the Wizard red screen
option page.
To do this right I apparently have to go to classic style
and-- I can't get there from here? What's the trick?
Recap:
I have a set of _ts files made from a dvd using DVD Shrink.
I've gone to the make DVD routine using DVD Tab> Copy and Backup > Copy Entire DVD Video which takes me to the record screen..
My shrink is already done. How can I select to burn like it shows in the guide? Please do not use any shorthand-- step by step in Nero Express is what I need.
Also I'll need to know how to change the speed to slow on the way to pressing the mighty burn button. Using Nero Express defaults
for maximum speed have caused numerous bad disks.
Using the sequence above I've found my files and the analysis
portion of the routine goes through for about 17 minutes. I
select to avoid the "Extras" but to burn menu and main title.
In all these steps I've not encountered any errors. But I'm not at the correct screens for using the guide.

Open Nero,put pointer over copy and backup, click on burn image to disc, click cancel on first window, then click dvd vidio files, click add,use the dropdown menu to find your folder, double click on the folder, click on the vidio ts folder, click add then finish, click next, insert a blank dvd, name the disc if you want, select burn speed from dropdown menu, click burn.

I'm not out of the woods but way too tired and cranky
with this to do any more tonight.
My VOB files are in a folder called video_ts.
That is a good thing.
But that folder is a subfolder of the Subject Name.
This is a Windows question: How do I make that video_ts folder
recognized by Nero? Nero cannot find subfolders and when I
just click on the Subject Name folder it produces an error
that locks everything up.
So video_ts has to be on the main file tree.
I'm asking here before I delete something I'll need.
I'm rusty on this, I don't diddle with files that often.
So at this point I'm trying to get the video_ts folder open to make it
vissible at the add-- finished screen.
Also of note: I'm waaay over in the yellow on the size bar on this one.
I know that the files are normally supposed to go to video_ts.
I do not know what process put them in a file called the name of
the subject.
I have deleted somne Nero showtime files and other things that
are not related to this project. I do not even know what a showtime file is or why I have to deal with them.
