Hey there!

im just wondering i have a theory, any other game that isnt an ea title i can use dvd decrypter and nero:)

but for ea games i have to use nero to read the disc @ 1x and write the disc @ 2.4x or else i get coasters and this method worked on:
medal of honour - frontline
nfsu
nfsu2

anybody else come across this?

i have heard that from many people about EA Games. They say that DVD Decrypter did not work and Nero did.
But why do you use DVD Decrypter and Nero to burn others. Why not just use DVD Decrypter.
I have used it for many, many, many games and it works just fine by itself. Buit with the EA games i would use Nero.

mmm,so i wasnt imagining it then:)

well, one thing ive noticed about dvd-decrypter is that even if you set the read speed to 1x it never reads @ that..i set it to 1x and it was reading @ 3.1x.Nero on the other hand reads @ 1x.another example is that if i read nfsu2 with dvd-decrypter it makes a image,if i use Nero and read the disc @ 1x it spits it out with an error..which get me thinking..is dvd-decrypter just making the image with the errors in it,hence the non woking copy if i use dvd-decrypter??

ive used dvd-decrypter for +/- 20 odd games and they work fine, its just of late ive started having my doubts:)

thnx anyways

the read speed has nothing to do with it,
you are just transfering data from one place to another
the read setting on my decrypter is always set to max,and i have never had a problem with it.
the only time i have had errors is when i have been brave and stupid and set the burn speed to max.
burning is the important part, when the data is burnt on the disc in forms of various grooves and depths widths onto the aluminum
in my opinion i may be wrong, its the quality of the media/burner combo that makes the most difference
as long as you have a stable pc and are patient, you cannot go wrong
to be honest,it puzzles me sometimes, the amount of people that have bad burns, games that dont work.
i can honestly say i have never had over 5 failures, and most of those were my fault,or corrupt images.
maybe i have been lucky
when a game dont work, there is always a reason for it.
and its not to do with the reading process
the trick is to learn the pc and how it behaves, and do regular maintenance(defrag/reg clean/file clear outs),and dont attempt to stretch the pc's limits

:)
