In my opinion it would be the matrix infinity, but dont let that sway you, most of the new chips support the v12.

Im thinking off buying Ps2 Magic Switch w/ Swap Magic plus 3.6 disks . Is that any good ?

Yes that will do the trick ok and a lot cheaper than a mod chip, i was using the 3.3 version without much hassle, some games had to be rebuilt. But i got a chip installed because i wanted to play backup ps1 games as well

Does the magic Switch w/ smap magic plus 3.6 only play ps2 backups ? and not ps1 backups ?

Hi
If you check in the forums someone has posted a way of starting a ps2 game and then when the disc is spinning you have to take it out and swap it for a ps1 game.I would not recommend doing this it couldnt be good for the console. You can play ps1 games if you get another swap disc called BREAKER PRO
