getting a "check condition" error? hmm...if the disc isn't faulty and you're using the latest version of Decrypter, then the disc is most likely dirty or scratched, as Seji said. clean the disc well and post back with new results.
Hey, first post here.
I'm having the same issue, I have made backups of all my dvd's (about 100 so far) w/o a problem using DVD Decrypter. I bought "Hitch" and when trying to back it up I am getting almost the EXACT same message as the initial poster of this topic.
Funny thing about it, it says SCSI status, and then labels my BenQ drive, but its an ATA drive. Don't know if that matters, but its almost a brand new disc, so its not a problem with scratches, I watched the whole movie and no skip issues, and I even tried borrowing a copy from a friend and I'm getting the same thing.
I read on another forum to check the ASPI (no idea what that is) thats installed using a tool in Nero, which is called Nero Infotool, anyways it says that the Nero ASPI is installed fine but the system ASPI is not installed, not sure if this should matter b/c as far as I know nothing has chgd and I have been fine up to this point.
Anymore suggestions?
*Update*I checked more into the ASPI, and its not an issue with DVD Decrypter, with some other progs you may want to install 3rd party ASPI from adaptec, or ForceASPI.
Anyways, with the error at hand, I tried (of the 3 options) hitting ignore, and retry which didnt do anything, and when I tried hitting the "Abort" option on the error popup it continued on with the decryption and in the log it just says it was "unable to decrypt VOB 1.0.0.13" or something like that. and then it finished w/o any other problems. I am going to use DVD Shrink later on, and hopefully the error was just in the previews or something (the error happened around the 2% complete mark) I'll post an update as to whether my backup goes clean from here.
