I have been trying to upgrade this firmeware for some time now to 1.20.
Every time I launch the update program it tells me target not found.
Info: Read my signature for computer spec, The drive came with the computer. It is in device 0 slot. Has dma on. I have Nero, DVD Decryptor and alcohol 120% installed. No Virtual drives.

Any help please. I have downloaded the firmware's from both pioneer and RPC1. Both don't work.

What is the reason you have to upgrade your firmware?

Are you sure your writer is a Pioneer 108 - what is the part number etc on the units label?

I want to upgrade it to use 16x media.
I don't know what the label says.
I haven't had the pc that long, my hardware manager tells me its pioneer dvr-108, I e-mailed advent and they tell me it's defo a pionerr 108. They told me to download the firmeware from pioneer as they dont have one.

The 108 is supposed be a 16x -r/+r burner out of the box.

Are you receiving error messages etc when you try to burn to 16x media/not detecting the discs etc?
