I've searched around on this site for some time for solving the problem that I have but haven't found any answer that solves my problem. Sorry then if I post a question that is already answered

For about a week ago I bought a chipped PS2, imported from somewhere in Asia. AS it was chipped from the beginning I have no idea of what kind of chip that is in the machine and I don't feel like I'm the right person to open the PS2 on my own.

At first it played my games with no problem but now it only starts sometimes, even the same games that worked perfectly fine before. I was thinking about that I somehow managed to disable the modchip, and in that case I wondered how I could be able to enable it again. I figured out that you use different metods for different modchips som I would be glad if someone could post some ideas of what I should do.

Don't know if I maybe posted to little information about my machine for you to answer.

I post the info that is posted in the version information.
Console: SCPH-70006
Browser: 1.40
CD Player: 2.00
Playstation Driver: 1.11
DVD Player: 3.10G

The games that doens't work is the backups, tried the originals and it worked fine so I guess it isn't a laser but the chip that causes the problem. Hope for some guiding
