Hi guys, I bought the slim tool and swap disks from www.modchip.com the other day and finally (with difficulty) managed to get all three bits installed into my new slimline PS2. The problem is, it doesn't work! the disks will not spin when the lid is open and therefore the swap disks are useless. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know whats went wrong?

Make sure tool c (at the back) is pushed all the way down. I had to keep mine down with a little bit of tape.

hi that tool can be hard to install right, the easiest way is to open the console and tape that sensor down you can find pics here http://www.jspot.net/ps2.htm
Hope this helps

You could always just get a flip top case so you don't have to worry about that stupid slide card crap.

Hi,

I got the same problem. I bought the slim kit pro from modchip.com.
But it doesn't work after the tool installed.

Is there anyone can help me to sort it out, please.

Many thanks

Thanks for all of your help.

My ps2 with slim pro kit and Swap magic is working fine now.
I did't open the ps2 and put piece of tape on the sensor.
I just put the tool C all the way down, until I can't see it.

Thanks again

is it true that the lid of the ps2 slim will close all the way down normally on both sides...like completely flat opposed to the original slim tool?...I'm assuming that you guys/girls purchased the slimkit pro.

should i just give up and tape the sensor down?

You could check http://www.mod-chip.com/Lite/Slim_Tool_PS2_V12_Install_LITE.pdf

It's not the full version, but if you e-mail mod-chip.com they may give you the full version.
