O.k. This get's pretty involved so thanks to anyone who even takes the time to read this let alone responds to it. I have an xbox that I was going to install a new hdd in. My plan was to softmod the box, copy the c,and e drive along w/the eeprom, and put them all into their corresponding folders inside the xboxhdm utility and use said utility to create the disk that I need to format the new hdd. BUT, somehow I mixed up the eeprom.bin file w/one from another box and accidentally locked it to the new hdd. well I figured out what had happened and used the same cd to unlock it. Then I burned a new cd w/all of what I thought was the right information on it and redid the hdd. BUT the xboxhdm won't read the new eeprom from the disk and consequently I can't lock the drive. I made the eeprom backup file using config magic and it is named"eeprom backup" I even burnt yet another cd w/the same info but renamed eeprom backup to eeprom.bin, and it still said that the file could not be found. I'm lost. How can I get the xboxhdm to recognise this new eeprom.or is there another utility I can use to do it? Please help.
