I've had my PS2 Slimline (V12) since December of 2004. Since Dec. 04 my Slimtool and SwapMagic 3.3 combo has worked perfectly on all my PS2 backups...that is until recently. None of my 20+ (both DVD-R and DVD+R, high quality) backups bootup anymore. In the SwapMagic 3.3 bootup screen, SwapMagic states that the Disc is not a valid PS2 disc. I've tried all my backups with the different bootup options and video modes but to no avail. Upon discovering this distressing situation, I have also found out that the PS2 no longer plays any of my backup movies either now(it use to flawlessly).

To check if my PS2 was completely broken I tried to play original PS2, PS1 and DVD movies. All originals work. PS2 and PS1 (Both DVD and CD) versions play perfectly and all Original DVd movies work fine. It seems like my PS2 no longer wants to play anything backed up. Does anyone know what might the cause of this problem may be? Do you have any suggestions or fixes for this problem?

Since I only used the slimtool, I can still return it to BestBuy (I bought the extended warranty). I just want to avoid this problem again if anyone may know this cause. Thanks

try to get an internal mod. it helps it. i would recommend the dms 4 ezi lite.
