Cannot backup my backups in one step.

Once I have mad a succesful backup I hvae tried to backup the backup with Nero using the disc copy feature. Problem is for some reason Nero recognizes that Backup dvd as being like 33 gigs instead of 3.3 gigs, so it says i do not have enough room on my hardrive to write the image file. decrypter did the same when i was trying to copy an image if the disk to the hardrive?

anyone know what the problem is?
