I'm trying to back a retail copy of Twin Peaks Season 1 Disc 2. The disc is brand new and unscratched. I successfully backed-up the first disc but the 2nd disc won't cooperate. When I insert the disc, the computer will not recognize it at all. I can't play it in any DVD app. DVD Decrypter says "Device Not Ready (Unable To Recover TOC)". DVD Shrink just says No Disc. MY DVD drive is a Plextor 708A. I've been backing up DVD's and games regularly for over a year now so I know it is not the equipment. I would assume it is some kind copy protection but I have no idea where to start with working around that. If more information is needed, please ask. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions please let me know. Thanks everyone

Hey Man I'm newbie, so take my advice litely. I use AnyDVD and Dvdxplatinum, the older version. I haven't had any problems burning anything. The new version of AnyDVD is 5.2.4.2 and it will read anything. It is thirty bucks though. I learned about AnyDVD on this site. It bypasses any encryption and any region.

no luck...is there an actual program interface for AnyDVD or does it just run in the background?

AnyDVD runs in the background. You should see a little red fox if it is running on the lower right part of your screen. AnyDVD is a great software and worth the money. BTW ... the latest copy of AnyDVD is 5.2.6.1.

Have you tried to at least updated its (your dvd burner) firmware? Perhaps, your dvd burner is dead. The reason is that you can play it on your stand alone dvd player, but not on your dvd burner (computer right)? Did you by chance tried to play it on your other dvd rom drive to see if it can play at all?
