Hey everybody!

I'm a newbie to the forums, so I thought i'd come to you guys for help. I'm having a lot of trouble ripping Ferris Bueller's Day off. I've tried using the latest version of the DVD Decrypter, and also Shrink, but both of them jam up at around 35 percent in of analyzing/copying. Shrink's error msg said something along the lines of a cycle error or something. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

CRC errors are generally bad news. It means that the disk has some "unreadable" areas on it. It can be due to being scratched, dirty, or often times a bad pressing. Try this.
1. Clean your disk really well
2. Fine tune DVD Decrypter with settings according to ScubaPetes guide:
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide9.html
3. Try again using DVD Decrypter
If that doesn't work, then exchange or return disk.

It may have the new 'RipGuard' protection on it....
I have ran across this on a few DVD's, and if you look on the back of all the newest movies, they clearly state they have copy protection....I have found out how to bypass this...
Get at me for the solution!!!!

Antknee27: Ferris Bueller pre-dates the new copy protection scheme, so that is not plumbum's problem

If you have something to say, spit it out. This is the third post that I am aware of that you say you have a secret. Share it.

Nothing like an immature LABOY...
Since protection is not the case, I'll answer where my appropriate post is.

Peace, and God be with you.

Even if protection schemes were the case, there hasn't been a dvd movie released to date that the latest version of DVD Decrypter (alone) with proper settings has not been able to rip. Tomorrow may be another day since Decrypter is no longer being updated, but I can say it "today."

Agree with LABOY above - there has not been a dvd movie released to date that the latest version of DVD Decrypter cannot handle.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is older movie and an easy puppy (just rolls over and wants to play) that can be handed by DVD Shrink alone.

Would suggest that you have a bad original or copy.

Do yourself a favour and ignore antknee27 - he/she is living in wonderland.
