if you make a backup then it will be region free and then all your worries are over.

1. origial is asfe from damage and put into a safe place.
2. backup is region free and no need to change hardware to a different region.
3. ....don't have a 3 answer, HA!

Rooney, do you want to just change from region 1 to 2 (US to europe) or do you want to change the system from NTSC (Us) to PAL (europe)???

I logged in on March 1st 2005, and it's incredible to believe that in so short time I've learnt all that I know about DVDs from this forum...
