I am having problems with these 2 games booting on my playstation, For some reason a few seconds after switch on the PS2 beggins to make a loud clicking noise as if the laser is banging up and down and nothing then happens.

Very strange as both games are originals, I have tried making backups and booting with Swap Magic and get the same problem.

Yet on my mates PS2 (Not Slimline Version) they both boot fine???

Any ideas???

Do other games work?
I know on the old PS2 there was a white plastic arm that i have heard of getting out of wack, and that caused noise and read errors.
If you have a slim i am not sure because i have never opened one of those up.

yeah other games work fine it is just these 2, the ps2 is only a few months old so should be ok. And like I say other games work fine so must be something to do with these 2 games????

Any ideas????

I have problems with the original too, not just the back up.

i had that problem and it was swap paper stoping the laser... try the original without any duck tape...
i now play without the b hole modded cause it only is needed for letting ps2 open

and one more thing... sonic heroes needs a fix... if you search a little youll find a thread explaining how to patch it

he should not need any fix on his originals. So that will not solve anything unless it is just the back ups that don't work which is not the case here.
A new PS2, i am assuming a slim PSTwo, should not be making any grinding noises. Since you have had it a few months i do not know how long that is. You may have a 90 day warranty on it. If you do and have had it less then that. find out how to get it replaced.
both my V7 and slim play Call Of Duty just fine and mine is the back up.

Try cleaning the discs if you have not, maybe the laser is just having a hard time reading them due to scratches or fingerprints.
If all your other games work fine then i would say it has to be something with those 2 discs.
