I used the unlock hard drive on the xenium os screen and turned it off. when i turned it on the led kept blinking green so i turned off the chip now it gives me error 5(which is the hardrive)is there anything i can do to fix the hard drive(lock). Please help me anyone>> the xenium os screen is not visible but the chips light are on.

it gives u error 5 because your hdd isnt locked, so without ur chip on the xbox notices that, and wont boot.
thats the hdd error...
as for the blinking green? it JUST blinks green, or green and red, and how far into the boot sequence do u get? and your chip boot properly?
turn ur chip back on, and tell me if u can get back into xenium OS, if so, try and relock the HDD. if so, what happens, if not, what error?

With the chip turned on it blinks green always and the xenium os screen is not visible. With the chip disabled it blinks green and red all the time and gives error 5. (hd unlocked) but since i can't see the xenium os menu i can't lock it again? could it be the chip?

when u push the eject button again when its blinking does it shut down?

u know what 0s you have? anything before OS 2.0 had a hanging boot issue where u would blink green, and not see picture, that sounds like ur issue. upgrade ur OS..

i think i have os 2.0 but how can i upgrade if i cant see anything on the screen and it will not ftp either and how long does it take to become a senior member

naw the hdd is fine. its jus an os conflict. dont sweat it, ull figure it out.
as for upgrading the os....if u cant ftp, access the OS..
sad to say it, but u might be better of using the manual recovery switch on the chip, and re-flashing it. that will get ur box working again, and is the easist solution right now as long as u know how to flash.
tommorow? i will keep an eye out 4 you in this thread.
and as for senior member..its the more posts he help in, the more active and helful you are, the more your (newbie) rating goes up

The chip has a switch on the side I put the switch to the top, the chip led went red and the xbox led kept blinking red. I pushed the lever toward the bottom(it says E)and the chips led booted green(correct)The xbox light kept blinking green and the xenium os screen is not visible. And when the chip is off the xbox obviously gives error 5. which im not woried about.I have pics if you need them

before i go any farther...
you have tried turning the xbox on by using the Eject option right?
and u got a black screen?
as for the flashing of the chip, lemme see if i cant find u an easy step by step walkthrough to make sure u did it all correctly.
but when u turn it on by the eject button...it jus blinks green?

yup used the eject I already used the install guide for the chip and i have the one for osv2.0 by the way if the d0 wire is loose the chip would not boot and turn green right it would just turn red??

the chip would frag, it wouldnt boot ur standard working color.
sga: why format hdd? thats not the issue. issue is chip/eeprom/bios/os...one of those are having an issue.
possibly consider putting ur original hdd back in, with your chip off to make sure that the xbox is functional without chip. that will narrrow down what needs to be corrected.
when using recovery switch. turn off xbox, flip switch. flip it back down. restart xbox. what happens? same issue?
<as long as chip boots up into green/blue/etc. color, it is still a good chip. its just buggy. gotta work out the bugs..
trial and error. number one thing i want you to do...
breathe, relax, realize that its just a bug. dont sweat it, nothing is damaged. keep a cool head, dont do anything out of desperation.
get back at me after original hdd, and recovery process...
