Need some assistance. I'm attempting to create a custom Test DVD with about 8 different clips from 8 different DVD's. Additionally, I've created a sweet menu . I have taken each separate DVD using DVD Shrink 3.2 and re-authored the main movie title into a single chapter typically about 2-3 minutes long. I then back it up to my HDD. I designated a separate VIDEO_TS folder for each DVD, and it creates the .BUP, .ISO, and .VOB files. I've done this 8 different times for each DVD/chapter I have authored. Using Nero, I select each .VOB file to add to my project, then attempt to burn. The total files is less than 3Gb. I've wasted countless blank DVD+R's trying to burn with Nero. They have gotten 90% through burning and then I gett errors msgs stating the burn failed. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi there...

I have just finished a project which included several different movies on one single DVD.
I've used DVD Lab Pro (there's a trial version for d/l)and it's dead easy to do a simple menu. They have good tutorials and you can always ask here. Another good thing is that before compilation it posts a message stating all errors that your project has and how to fix them out. That way you know why it's not gonna work.

TMPG DVD Author is also a good choice for adding several clips, and although it's not as powerful as DVDLab it's easier (a step-by-step process) to use...

If possible, I dunno which recorder you have, use first a RW DVD to test your compilation...

Have fun

If you already have everything included in 8 separate Video_TS folders, then try this:
Start Nero Recode, click 'import titles', then 'browse' and 'add' the titles under each Video_TS folder to the compilation window. Click 'finish' when you're done, and follow the lead from there. Burn to harddisk first for checking.
Good luck!

Thx kokomo, I'll d/l the DVDLab, it sounds easy. I read other threads suggesting the TMPG DVD Author, however cannot d/l it for some reason. I tried running it from current location and even saving to HDD but the d/l fails. I've got a dual layer recorder also, so maybe I should try the RW before wasting too many more blanks. Thanks again.
