Action replay mac codes can't work

I have burn a backup of action replay max and it work, but the problem is when i using the codes, it freeze when i swap with my ps2 game, Why the codes can't work. I hope someone can tell me.Thank you.

because without the action replay max memory card the action replay max will not work and also illegal versions or copy's of action replay won't work

because action replay doesn't run illegal backups of games!!!!!!

so you need to buy real copys of games not illegal one's

very true, if you own the game you are allowed 1 legal back up copy.
More info would help.
You can not load with codes on a PS2 back up without extra swapping unless you have a mod chip.
What version PS2? What version of Swap Magic are you using?
And do you have the memory card for AR Max, without it where do you think the codes are stored, on the disc.
