DVD Shrink will rip and compress your movie but it will not burn it you will need a program for burning. Also, Shrink does not handle newer copy protections. Download DVD Decrypter this can rip to your hardrive, then use Shrink to compress and encode, and Decrypter to burn. You can download program here, just look under rippers
I do have Shrink, Nero, CyberLink to do the burning.
I was sent a package of DVD+R by mistake. I have always in the past used DVD-R 8x Ridata with good luck. Am a little afraid to open the DVD+R unless they may be used for my purpose.
As long as your burner supports +R there is no problem using them. Does your standalone accept this format, because some older standalones will not play +R. If your burner is capable of booktyping this media to -R you will have no problems playing it on anything. Actually +R is a better format than -R.
