I have Nero 6 with all the cd, MP3, DVD, Photo extraws.
I have a large MP3 colllection, over 8 Gig's.
I placed the collection on two seperate dvd's.
I tried installing that collection on my other computer
and could not. I got a message something on the order that I needed Nero, because the files or codes were not recogonized. I'm not going to purchase another license just to transfer music files. Is there another way around this situation?
Is it possible? Thanks

You may want to edit your post and remove the references to cr***.
What program did you use to make the music DVD? Is it on your other computer?

All files were download using Limewire and placed into MY Music folder, in seperate folders for each artist.
The other computer has limewire and MY Music folder also

Unfortunately I can't be of much help- hopefully someone else will come along with the answers you need. I have had codecs problems with Limewire too but instead of looking for a way to fix it my solution was to delete the file and re download using WinMX which hasn't given me this problem. Now if it were 8 gig that would be a different story. I rarely use Limewire anymore.
I have Nero and imho it is well worth the money. It does so many things.
Try this app to see what codecs you need:

How would I do that? Transferring 8 Gig's of music from one
computer to another. I do have a wireless connection and pico zip. Isn't an 8 gig file too large to place on a zip file?
Cut and paste is no problem from (within) the same computer but how would I cut and paste an 8 gig file to another computer?
Please explain the process. Thanks

Thanks for the information. I'm still not sure what you mean?
Like I said, I don't have Nero on the other computer and without Nero on the other computer the file is not recogonized.

UPDATE: To heck with this mess.....I just installed Nero on the other computer. The cost was very little...(?) compared to the problem.

i'm asking if you have a dvd drive in each machine ?

if your disc isn't recognised without Nero being installed, then you probably haven't 'finalised' the disc properly, ie to allow ANY drive to read the disc correctly
