Hello, I've used these several times with no problems in the past. Today the process went well thru the encoding, then at the burn-with-decryptor part, I got the message "Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present - Tray Closed)". I checked the properties of the burner and it allegedly is working properly. I'm puzzled - could Decryptor/Shrink have gotten corrupted? Any potential solutions? Thank you.

sounds like crap media to me..

download Nero info-tool from here - http://www.snapfiles.com/get/neroinfo.html

Run it, note down the following, and paste here. Here's what mine shows -

click on the drive tab, note down the name of the drive, and the firmware version

click on configuration tab, note down the DMA fields, ie on or off

Also what media are you using , download dvdinfopro (free) and run one of those discs thru it's media info check and paste results here

Creaky - that you! I did an uninstall/reinstall and the programs are working again. I also set the target to 4300 - thank you...I never considered this. (I have a Sony burner and have been using Sony blanks...my brother is sending me some Taiyo Yuden.) Everything seems to be fine - thank you again, sir.
