I just removed the heat sink to mod my cube and was shocked by the amount of thermal paste used on it. I decided to scrape off the material intending to apply some of my artic silver 5 that i use on my pc heatsink. however when looking at the cube cpu etc there is a large gap between the heat sink and cpu etc when the heat sink is placed over them. I would probably need several tubes of silver compound to make up the contact difference as oppoised to the pee size blob i used on my pc. Should it be ok to spread back out the old solution and reuse it. i have it wrapped in clingfilm to keep it fresh and assuming the cube dont get too hot i thought this would be ok. What did other people do when they got to this point? Recycle or splash out on oddles of paste??

Why in the hell did you remove the thermal paste and replaced it. I don't know anyone who had problems with the cooling yet...
