I'm new here and i recently purchased a ps2 adapter , and a hdd ( seagate) with the program hdadvance. I quite dont understand, do i have to have a flip top lid also ? and where do you insert the hd advance program, do you press the eject button on the ps2? if so then how would you convert a game into the hdd, wouldnt you have to take out the hd program , which would lead to the ps2 restarting, ahaha, so confusingggggggg!

but if so , when you are on the screen to backup your game to the hd, what do you do? do you take the hd advance program out , but then if you take it out , the ps2 will restart, please help me bro.

1. plug hdd into network adapter
2. plug hdd+network adapter into PS2
3. turn it on and put hdadvance in ps2 drive
4. hdadvance boots up and you format the drive
5. get ready to convert a game
6. you can push the eject button to take hda out and put game in.
7. click ok to continue.
8. wait for it to finish.
(optional) 9. reboot if you feel like it with hda in the ps2 drive

your game list should have your game in the list already. and then you highlight the game, press x or start to play it. you will have to take HDA cd out in order to convert the game. that's all there is to it.

yeah also a fliptop/slide card lets you play backups on the hdadvance, withotu them you can only play games you have. The tutorial above helps for originals.

If you don't have a fliptop you can use a pc program called winhip that will allow you to put ps2 games on the hdd alot faster than the ps2 can, but to do that you need to take the hdd out and put it in the pc as a slave then make a image of the game b4 you can transfer it.

@ps2crack great sig pic :)

aye aye man

i found that out after i had already done 30+ games using just the ps2. i hear ppl complain about their lasers dying out or giving read errors. but it doesnt seem so bad to me because i've never had that problem. i can convert 1 full 4GB game in 30 min or less on ps2. if i already have the images on my pc, then i can transfer 1 full 4GB game in 5 min or less. that's how fast it is. didnt realize how fast until i moved up from 80GB to 200GB and had to move stuff from one drive to th next. wish i had done that from the beginning.
