ILO_DVDRHD04:

Can you, by any chance, explain the differenced between the two firmware upgrades? I did the upgrade from the manufacture. Now I'm reading about a new firmware (hacked) that sets the recording region to FREE. What does this mean?

My History:
I have the ILO DVDRHD04 that has the 80gig harddrive. Main purpose was to transfer all of our VCR's to DVD's. I'm currently half way through with 25 DVD's created. Having some issues with some of the DVD's locking up and some will fail the "finalization" process. In addition, the Tuner only worked for 2-days and now it's just snow. I want to finish my DVD's before exchanging or returning. It's only 2-weeks old.

The ILO quality must not be the best. It seems like so many people are having similar issues.
