back up dvd problems with play back on dvd recorder

I have number of movies that I have backed up using DVD shrink.
I could play back the backup with no problems. Recently I tried playing pack on a DVD recorder the movies struggle to play. It starts but pauses and goes all digital half way through the movie and some do not start.
The DVD shrink is a great program I haven?t had any problems since trying to play back on DVD recorder.
Has any one experienced this problem?

These problems are normally due to the use of poor quality media, burning too fast or the use of labels on your burnt DVD's.

What brand of media are you using and what speed are you burning at?

I am using tdk and imitation discs. the seed i am burning at is 6x
I didn't think lables made a difference.
i experimented by playing the tape in fast forword skipping through chapters first before watching it in normal play speed it seems to help the situation.

Your media seems reasonable but Ritek or Verbatim are better.

Would suggest burning at 4x

Labels do make a difference for many people and a majority of members would recommend not to use labels on your burnt media (many threads on this subject).
