My PS2 cant seem to boot/load backup games compared to bootlegs,CD-R,and original games it loads perfectly. Since my PS2 is already modded when I bought it I diassembled the PS2 and checked what kind of mod-chip they installed. Oh yeah my PS2's model is a japanese SCPH-39006

Here's the picture... sorry for the very blurry quality, I dont have a digi cam at the moment so I used my phones camera:

I'm not sure about this one since the mod chip doesnt match with the mod-chips selling online... The closest would be a Magic modchip but can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance.

It might help if you'd provide a picture that's less blurry...

I guess... but if you notice that there are 22 wires. Which modchip has 22 wires? That might be a clue...

I have decided, I'm going to buy a new mod chip... Which mod chip would you guys recommend? a Magic 3.1(since its cheap) ? My PS2 model is a japanese SCPH-39006 so its Version 8 right? But the Magic 3.1 chip says its V1-7 ... Would it still work on my ps2? I heard cases of games not working under Magic 3.1, is it true? I really want to play my backup games...

cheap isn't always good when it comes to modchips. you might want to get a chip with features like auto boot. check into chips like matrix infinity and DMS4 pro. they are a little more expensive but it is worth it.

Damn...
