This link leads you to a webpage which has a list of steps in burning a ps2 backup and then patching it so that you can play it on a regular ps2.

that link doesn't work, says the page is not there.
But i would say it is BS
if there was a patch out there that could do that, people would be.

You cannot just burn a disc and expect it to work on a PS2. No matter how much patching you do, you will never be able to burn a disc that you can just pop in and play. You need to understand that PS2 Discs are Factory Pressed, meaning they're not burned. The data is pressed right onto the reflective stuff, and a certain area is pressed onto that the PS2 uses to recognize the disc as a real PS2 Disc.

You can always go for a flip top lid and Swap Magic if you don't want to use a chip.

Or you can put in a Hard Drive (in the classic model PS2) and use a memory card exploit to run HDLoader, which will allow you to play your games off the hard drive (my personal favourite).

not all of them. there are a bunch on dvd now-a-days. you can get by the copy protection. there has got to be a program online that lets you trick your ps2 into loading burned back-ups. there already are a few ways, but they're hidden so that companies can make money. there are swap disks and gamesharks.
