yeah, i am having exactly the same problem. the issue is when you copy the game the default.xbe file needs to be replaced with one that has been "fixed".. you're supposed to be able to find them at the "usual places", however i have spent the last 4 hours looking through bittorrent sites, limewire, google, etc and still havent been able to find it. when you do find it just FTP the fixed default.xbe file into the greg hastings folder to replace the original that was copied... if you do find a copy of that file please PM me so i can have you email me a copy... about ready to give up. i hate carrying my games with me everywhere i go...

Ditto guys, having trouble find also. Both this one and the old one suck off of disk, I've bought both but much rather playing from HDD they take so long to load.

I found out the patch only works on 'Greg Hastings Paintball' not the 'Max'd' version. Has anyone had any luck with the Max'd version??

hi, I know this thread is old, but i just bought ghtp for my son and and can not play the backed up version. I don't want him to keep using the disk as he has a tendancy to totally destroy them.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you wanting to play it off a disc or HDD? If you want to play it off HDD then you need a patch.
If your burrning to disc are you....
Are you riping the game to your Xbox HDD then transfering over the game folder? If you are doing it this way then you will have trouble with it.
Try FTPing into your Xbox and choose the D: folder(Xbox DVD drive) and transfer over the files in that folder.
Once you rip the game directly from the D: Folder to your computer use Quix or Craxtion to make the xISO and burn.
That should work for you.
