I just want to play my foreign DVDs (regional code 5) on my PB. I read some postings on Apple's support site and downloaded MacTheRipper. For some reason, I couldn't play the Video_TS MacTheRipper created. I went around and read more.. nothing really talked about the issue so I tried the process of DVD copy followed the guild line posted here. I "compressed" the movie using DVD2one which created a new set of Video_TS and it played! Can anybody help me understand this process? My impression was that I should be able to play the first Video_TS.. Why do I have to compress the movie in order to play it by DVD Player on PB? (The undertone here is that DVD2one does cost some money.) Is there anyway around this? Thanks!
