Hi, I'm using anydvd/clonedvd...

I was trying to backup one of my movies,and I continue to get read error messages? A box pops up and says:

Writing to video media was not successful:
C:/clonedvdtemp/video_ts/vts_01_1.vob:read error
Data error(cyclic redundancy check).
If reading media has failed,please clean the surface and try again.

*if i click on details button will pop a box that says: file 1 c:/clonedvdtemp/video_ts/vts_01_1.vob 23 w2

I tried different dvd-r disks and still get this error(using TDS/8x/4.7G dvd-r)..

What brand dvds are you using?

(using TDS/8x/4.7G dvd-r)..
Try updating your firmware for your burner at their site. That may help.

Oh I didn't see that. Have you tried a better brand of media, Ritek, Verbatim, Fuji made in Japan?

Had a typo on what brand of dvd-r. Not TDS,its supposed to be TDK. Guess i got a bad batch of dvd-r's..

TDK is what I thought, never heard of TDS, I searched though and nothing. Anyway TDK can be made by CMC Mag, total crap. Download DVD Identifier to see who made those TDK
