To everyone flooding these forums with questions about how to "softmod Halo 2" PLEASE STOP. "Softmodding" and "Editing Halo 2" are two ENTIRELY different things.
Softmodding is a term used to refer to the act of using a software exploit to modify an Xbox which enables basically the same features of having a modchip.
Halo 2 Editing is the actual act of EDITING HALO 2 either by Hex Edit or downloading PPFs and patching them to the game. If you're looking for information on this, go to Halomods.com and look there.

Probably because all of the sites with mods are closed down for a while so that they can help stop all you cheating azz losers from downloading hacks and using them online!

Look ok im very sorry. I know halo 2 modding is illegal but i just thoguth it would be cool to give it a try. I thought the banning was just a joke or warning. Thank you for not getting me banned from xbox live.

halo mods is the artistic part of the halo modding community the other part is the faggots that suck at halo 2 and think that they will be cool if they get there stupid ass number up to 50. halomods is a good website if your not a dick trying to cheat

@hijaf - I couldn't have said it better myself. Halomods and Halomaps both are excellent sources of modifications for Halo 2 that bring extra enjoyment from the game. It is not a site that promotes cheating or hacking to be used in a bad manner...

actually those are game mods. this just allows you to install the mod onto your xbox not the game.
