Hmm, it seems you need a boot disk. There is this thing for the ps2 called a breaker pro. You can buy it from stores online for around 19.99 . An site i liked is http://www.consoleasia.com because of the fast shipping. Basically what you do is put in the breaker pro, when it says to switch the disc on the screen you switch it with the psx cd, and then the backup. then it should work perfectly :) Quite easy but i amy be misunderstanding the question you may be asking about a free boot disk that boots. In that case your out of luck there is no free boot disk or thing like that most are viruses. I gone through a few till i asked my dad for the swap magic.

Oh i miunderstood. but it doesnt matter isnce the breaker pro will work on the ps1 AND ps2. i will allow you to play psX or ps1 backups on the PSX or PS2. Yea so the post above is still valid.

the only PSOne boot disks i know of are
->Playstation Boot Disc PS-X-Change V2
->Breaker Pro
->GameShark (only works with the older "thicker" PlayStations)

No there isnt. there is a nno solder disk, but that requires swap magic to play ps2 backups nad it requires breaker pro for ps1 games.

No,there has not modchip,but you can vist www.goeasily.net to select your need chip.there has some chip for psx and ps2,xbox.
