hi all, i am a newbie so forgive me if this is in the wrong place.
anyway to get to the point.. i boughtr this drive about a month ago and burned a couple of backup dvds using dvd shrink.
i asked a friend to get me some dvd-r media for me to use on a spindle previously been using +r). i burned a dvd using this media and after it spat it out i tried testing it in my pc dvd players (dvd rom and the nec drive) but it wont play at all !!
in my sony dvd system in plays but every so often it jumps forward a couple of seconds.
could this just be a media issue??

i have just upgraded the firmware about 5 minutes ago but it still wont read this dvd.

i am worried that i wont be able to burn certain media or that i have caused a problem somewhere.

please adviseand i shall get back to you asap.

i also cant understand why my pc wont play these dvds but my home system will.
