i was just making a back up of my dvd but have run into a problem.
what happened is i used dvd shrink and reauthored just the movie.. however to keep 100% quality i removed a couple of the audio streams i now have the proper speech on the back up and a choice of either a guy talking about whats happening or the wayans brothers laughing at certain bits.

my question is how do i know which is a legit audio stream to keep and what is rubbish and not needed.

I only keep AC3 5.1. If played on just a tv the dvd player will decode 5.1 to 2 channel. If played on a home theater of course you have 5.1, It's the best of both worlds. I've never heard comentator or directors on the 5.1 stream
