action replay max with back up games

I have a modified pal ps2 v7 via matrix infinity chip,all my origional games work perfect with a/replay,also i backed up a copy of cold fear myself and that also worked with the cheat codes no prob.But i borrowed a mates backed up copy of lego starwars,it works but not with a/replay,it gets to the boot up screen but doesn't boot up the screen just goes and stays black,why wont it work ?

The only conclusion i can think of is the game copy may be an ntsc/american, version/copy so therefore not compatible with the european a/replay that i have,what do you reckon ?

any ideas welcome,cheers in advance

I think ive solved it,my theory appears to be correct i tried the us codes this time on my replay max disc and it booted up and the cheats work too,well chuffed now.
