Try soldering it to the mainframe of your ps2. I Take mine apart all the time to completely tune it up.Next time, when you open up your ps2,keep all the pieces very near to each other.

hey guys i had the same problem, when i was trying to unplug the fan from the main board i broke it, you are going to need to solder it back on other wise it will overheat. You will need a 10 to 20 watt soldering iron with a fine TIP, some Flux which is like grease that you will need to apply to the area the will be getting worked on and some solder try to get the thinest one.You will have to be very carefull no to let the solder points touch other wise that will be the end.So look very closely. you should find these material at radioshack for about $20.00. i Fixed mine and it works great.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't have any Flux, how much is that? I've been able to disconnect the fan before, it was only the last time I opened it up to see if I had a gap/no gap V4 that I accidentaly took the whole thing off. And I do keep the parts close together too.

the flux is like grease.it come in a round container like the womens make up with the mirror.it cost about 3.00 and radioshack should carry it.
