I'm a newbie and read thru a ton of these treads but I cannot find another example of this problem:

I converted Rar files to an .IMG file. Burned it to DVD-R, DVD+R and DVD+RW via Popcorn and got the same exact results each time - the disc plays perfect in my G5 superdrive, but when I put it in any of my DVD players the image appears as if it's lost its vertical hold and rotates down at a high rate - maing it imposible to watch. However, the sound plays perfectly.

What am I doing wrong?

you have a movie that is the wrong region code. See if the program you convert to DVD format allows you to force NTSC or PAL (whatever you need; NTSC is US and Canada, PAL is most of the rest of the world).

You're not the only one with the vertical hold problem. I made an .ISO image of a Region 2(PAL)music video DVD through DVD Decrypter with settings to make region free and remove copy protection. I need an NTSC version. The disc plays on the computer made on perfectly, but in my Pioneer DVD player, the sound is fine but I can't control the vertical hold. Very frustrating. I've been using -R discs.
