Every time i double click winmx on my desktop an error message appears and not only do i get thrown off aol, i have to restart my computer. Is this a virus? Should i just uninstall this version and install another?

If it gets into WinMX then can't connect it's a config problem. If it doesn't even get that far it's an installation problem. BTW, AOL is poor for p2p because it hogs so much bandwidth!
