Wondering if anyone else had an issue with the new Swapmagic 3.6 version and any problems with backups?
I tried loading it on my PS2 (SCPH 39001), and it wouldnt load. I would just get to the main screen (Browser - Configuration).
I thought it was faulty disc, but then I tried it on my brothers PS2 (SCPH 30001), and it loaded fine. Ironically, my ps2 is newer and I hardly use it, so I wouldnt think its because of the lens or etc.. But what could be the issue??
Lastly, using my brothers ps2.. I tried 3.6 , and tried playing some backups that I got from HK recently, and none would load. I know in that business, theres bound to be few here and there that dont work, but almost 40+ games .. none worked. So Im thinking does Swap magic even work at all anymore and should I just go get the modchip ?

Actually to be honest, I dont think swapmagic is that great. Ive heard more bad things with it, compared to getting a modchip..
Of course this would make sense, otherwise everyone would be getting the swapmagic being its more than half cheaper than all the mods out there..
But recently, I bought a whole bunch of "backups" during my business trip to Hong Kong, which worked there.. but dont work on my ps2 with swpmgc. So now I gotta get the modchip.. =/
