hi welcome to AD. A few things I saw that may be the issue:
Quote:
SCSI Exec, HA 2, TA 0, LUN 0, buffer 0x033C0000
Status: 0x02 (0x03, SCSI_ABORTED)
HA-Status 0x10 (0x0A, SCSI_HASTAT_REQUEST_SENSE_FAILED)
TA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK)
Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST)

burner doesn't like your choice of dvd blank media. try using some verbatims or taiyo yuden.

looks like your burner has trouble recognizing your blank dvd. Have you burned a movie with this type of disk before?

http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2034 <<---check there to ensure you have the latest firmware

http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=4&manufactor=23<... is updated firmware dated april 2005

try updating your firmware with the link above and choose a reliable brand of media such as the 2 mentioned earlier or sony.

to burn or not to burn that is the question

need help w/ media read this http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/155431

thank you.

as i mentioned i did burn with this media on other burning software.

and my previous cheaper media almost always worked fine. cheapest media is no longer available at my supplier ( i live on a tiny island in the mediteranean sea) so this is supposedly better media, says he.

yeah right!
ha ha.

but will take what you write under consideration.
I am using what i think is latest firmware 2.fd,
for NEC with rip lock and rpc 1.

will advise, after i purchase some new blank dvd's.

thank you.

Thank you very much!!!!!

I originally did not notice that you mentioned :

QUOTE
"burner doesn't like your choice of dvd blank media. try using some verbatims or taiyo yuden." UNQUOTE

I used to use the Taiyo yuden, and they worked fine with Nero. My supplier stopped getting them. Makes great sense now to me.

Now I am using/ buying from him ATi Infomedia r20, 8x max blank dvd-r.
And they work with some 'trial' retail burning software but not Nero OEM or DVD Decrypter.

I will have to get him to find more of the Taiyo yuden,
they were very inexpensive.

Since I live on a remote island in the Mediterranean Sea (www.gozo.com) I will have to improvise.

You seem to have solved my problem.

Thank you again.

@matt72 - nice one

@rjl24 - i'll wholeheartedly second the Verbatim suggestion, here's hoping you can get decent media on your island. I live on an island too but it's nothing too exciting, it's just the UK!
