ok, here goes........i am slowly trying to learn how to encode and burn dvd's onto disk but i aint getting very far! i have downloaded several films using bitlord, but that is where a lot of them are still sitting as i dont know what to do with them. I have tried using new software but always find it confusing. the software i have (and can understand) is...... Dvd Santa, Nero Smartstart,NTI and Dvd Decrypter, i also have DR DivX which i can understand how to encode using that but not how to burn. The files i have in my films are.....XL.3IVX.MOV......an avi/idx/rar 3 part file but the main film is in avi format.......an mkv file........xvid files..... a divx-mp3 file...........avi files that will not encode in dvd santa........kvcd's that aint kvcd's (when trying to burn them in nero the files aint there) plus a 40 file film that says video clip but is all letters and numbers in the files ie..s1e2b or s1e15a.....i know i am asking a lot here but im getting really frustrated that i cannot encode or burn or what ever it needs to watch these films on my dvd player. Can anyone help me match up these films with the software i already have? i would really appreciate some help, thank you

hi

ok yes i see what you are up against here, and i will help but next time try and split your reply to say one file at a time, this is to help you out!

lets go the free app route

ok here goes!

mkv and avi/divx files can be loaded to divxtodvd which will then output files of type vob/ifo/bup these files can then be loaded to dvd shrink to output to dvd decrypter burn engine (dvd decrypter not seen just used!) but all apps need to be installed!

--------------------------------

not sure on kvcd i know its a lower quailty files so dont expect a good picture/sound ater conversion! plus i need to know whats inside the kvcd (use isobuster not free to look inside and extract the folders, one will contain the main BIG file video/audio)

--------------------------------

now it sounds like your 40 files for one film is in RAR format which you need winrar to open / extract back to files to play with (winrar files are simarlar to winzip - compressed for downloading)

so need to know what inside these rar files! to help on this film

--------------------------------

if you get stuck just call back nut do 1 film at a time as you are doing too much for starters!

Nothing here to see, move along folks.
