Ive been having problems buring at 16X with CloneDVD2. I was told to try to keep the burn speed down to 4X. Does anyone know IF you can even change the burn speed in CloneDVD2 and how exactly I make these changes???

When you get to the screen where you select your output you will see the box, just set your speed for your drive

Some1 PLS help me!
When i open up CloneDVD2 to burn a Dvd movie, and i select VIDEO_TS it keeps saying file not ready. But i have been using it this was fine before, yesterday even. And had no problems. Now im having this error after selecting VIDEO_TS
Why?
Although I was doing it fine before, I am new to this and maybe i am doing something wrong?

@LadyVee

Are these files you already have on your hard drive, or are they on a disk?

The file (VIDEO_ST) is already in my hard/drive. I was doing the same a few days ago and was able to burn just fine. Now it keeps saying my file is not being read, file not ready, ect ect :(

Did you rip these files to your hard drive, did your burn these same files? Do you already have a burned disk with this movie on it?

NO, I was copying from directly from the dvd movie into my blank dvd (just liek i have before)
I am doing everything the same, i dont undertand.
Could there be something wrong with thee VIDEO_ST file? Maybe it has to be somewhere inparticular?

I you are using CloneDVD and copying from the disk directly then you must have opened the disk from Clone. Then a temporary file was placed on your hard drive during the encoding, this temporary file would be deleted from the hard drive if you had the delete temporary image after writing box checked.

I don't recall doing that, but perhaps I did.
But what can I do now?

Wait, I remember also seeing CloneDVD Temp and under that there was another VIDEO_ST file (which i also selected and got the same message)

*scratches head* sorry, i am just SOOO confused, not to mention NEW

i am using CloneDVD with AnyDVD. AnyDVD just runs and does his job, it was only the VIDEO_ST file not being read

Go back and read the guide, you are missing some step somewhere.

http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/BACKUP%20WITH%20CLONEDVD&ANYDVD.pdf

You have AnyDVD open because this breaks the encryption since you are using a original movie disk. Then open Clone, pick whether you want the whole movie, or just the title (movie itself). Go to the next screen and use the browse button, the little yellow button nest to the DVD Vidoe file bar. Find your movie it will be in your DVD drive and then select Video_TS file, and continue.

Yeah I printed that link yesterday and went over it step by step as I was doing it, and nothing!
Just out of curiousity, each and everytime i put a movie into my Reader, it will immidieatly creat a file with the movies name? B/C if that's it, its not hapopening on my computer. (but never had problems before)

I am sorry, i dont mean to give u a headahce with newbie Q's but i think i am doing everything fine as far as steps .

Clone will only create a temporary file if you have not directed it to do otherwise, and this file will be deleted after you have copied it to your disk. There will be no movie file unless you have told it not to delete the temp backup file, or if you have told it to rip/encode to your hard drive and not your burner.

Is the Video_TS file in C an empty file? Have you tried taking the disk out and doing a reboot and then put the disk back in and let Clone read it. Just what is this movie disk, is it an original?

Do you have DVD Decrypter, if so try ripping your original with this program and see if it rips to your hard drive.

Just want to see if your disk rips, and the best way is to try another program. You can then open the file with Clone and see if this works and delete the file later. Unless you do not have enough space. Just what are your specs anyway?

So i should rip it with DVD Decrypter, and after it saves movie (file) into my Hard Drive, then try and burn it off Clone DVD and delete the movie file after?

If that works well, is htere i way i can go back to using only CloneDVD as I was before?

Try it with Decrypter to see if the movie rips, and then opening with Clone and use it to encode and burn to see what happens, after just delete the movie file. However, if you still experience problems with Clone then uninstall it and re-install it there may be some conflict.
