wat is the difference between these 2 discs? Wich is newer and wich one is compatible with most dvd players? I would highly apreciate all information that anyone could give me.

Cant forget about the DVD Forum and DVD Alliance's little feud which gave us DVD+R/ DVD-R , DVDF produced DVD-R first , few companies came along with DVD+R promising higher capablity , DVDF wouldnt put their offical seal /logo and/or approval on DVD+R thus DVDAlliance was created.

Now if the 2 would quit bickering with each other and combine efforts :)
