Mds/Mdf file burning to cd

hi
opened winrar download the files i am now left with are a mds file /
and a mdf file never came accross these files before trying to put the m on to cd r for ps2 playback ?
any help appreciated

Im stuck with similar problem. I downloaded a game and got an MDS file (1KB) and a MDF file (427,526KB). Its a CD based game. I would really like to burn it to a DVD-R so I can play it in my PS2 with swap magic. Help pls.

I cant my trial period has finished, can I use anything else? I have not made a back-up of any CD PS2 game before so I dont have a clue what to do.

magiciso will burn i think
or you can see if DVD Decrypter will accept it,
or of this fails,try converting it to dvd and burn it with nero

Yes I want to convert to dvd so I can burn to DVD-R because I have no CD-R left. How do I convert? And DVD Decrypter doesnt recognise the file.

Cant find Scanlite anywhere???

oh,btw,if you cannot find it(scan lite),try ignoring the scanning part and just dropping them in Nero,
it might work without scanning

DVD decrypter works fine with MDF's and MDS's I use it for burning DVD Shrink files

Try this out and I think you will be OK.
2. Install Alcohol 120% ... get it here if you dont have it

3. Once Alcohol is installed open it up and look for emulation down the lefthand side..click emulation then tick RMPS, Ignore media type
3a In extra emulation tick BAD secotr, Sub-channel, laser lock
4. Click image burning wizard...when the box opens point it to the folder with the image file/s in
5. Click next then look for datatype at the bottom and select Securom NEW 4x/5x ...it will put a tick in boxes: Enable Buffer Underrun Technology and Burn RMPS To Recordable Media
6. In Write Method it should say RAW DAO ...also untick Simulation
7. In Write Speed choose 16x... or slower if you have any probs with the first burn
8. Click Start and burn to cdr

Whats worked for me is just leaving the options alone with Alcohol 120% just selecting datatype: playstation 2 (c.d based games and dvd based games) Anyway your better off using DVD Decrypter cos its free

How do I get a MDF Image & MDS Image to burn on CD instead of DVD. I tried to do it with Nero but couldn't get it to work right.
I would like this to play on the computer that does not have a DVD player.
