Magic Switch Pro HELP with V13 SCPH-70001 CB PSTwo

I recently purchased Swap Magic 3.6 plus and the Magic Switch Pro for my new PSTwo. I was not aware that they had made a new 13th version of the PSTwo, which I had also bought, SCPH-70001 CB. I am having difficulty installing the Magic Switch Pro into my system, more specifically Tool C. A and B fit in fine as far as I know, but the new PSTwo has a metal plate blocking the opening for Tool C next to the hinge in the back. Can anyone help me remedy this problem? Is the Flip Top compatible with this new version? Also, is Swap Magic 3.6 plus even compatible with a V13 SCPH-70001 CB PSTwo?

I beleive you can take the cover off and put a piece of tape over the switch that would have been held down by tool C. If you do it carefully enough you can remove the top of the slim PS2 without breaking the warranty seal

Hi mrmister my V12 was purchased last Xmas in Australia. It had the metal piece, SlimTool still fitted down beside it & works great. The other idea as Favre4evr said u can pull yr PSTwo apart & tape down (or solder) the sensor. I would guide against trying to leave the warranty sticker on the machine & hingeing open the machine as it leaves aobvious white line down the sticker. Making it plain that the machine has been open. The way I would suggest is to simply heat the sticker with a heater or hairdryer & u will be able 2 take it off the machine without any trouble at all. U sort of lift & slide it off when the gum holding it gets gooey.

ok, yeah, thanks for the help. i just went ahead with the tape mod and now everything works fine, however, i had to void the warranty because on my version the warranty sticker covers one of the screws; it is not on the back.
