What program do I use to burn a dvd larger than 4.3GB? I have dvd decrypter v3.5.4.0 for DVD smaller than 4.3 but it wont do the bigger ones, is this suitable for the newer movies as well?

hi

dvd decrypter is good but sadly not updated anymore so alot of people run help in the background with apps like AnyDVD or DVD43 to aid decrypter when ripping new films out!

now to get your files to 4.38gig use DVD Shrink for compressing, load the files or iso then hit backup!

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

My next question is What is the difference between DVD+R or DVD-R and then /rw for both? What is the best to use to make a permanent copy of a movie?

hi

to cut a long story short +R is less comaptible than -R i use -R

-+RW can bring another set of problems but not all the time it depends whether you standalone dvd player can read them

some software / drives can change the booktype from a +R to a dvdrom format -R on burning... to help aid playing the disc.

and with all the above the dye type found on the discs needs to be good!

i use RITEK GO5 dye (go5 = id code) verbatim is good too, you can use an app called dvdinfo pro to tell you the id codes...

Nothing here to see, move along folks.
