Quote: LIVE 8 is part of a day of action across the world which kick-starts The Long Walk to Justice that calls on the leaders of the world?s richest countries to act when they meet in Gleneagles on 6th-9th July. On July 2nd in London, Edinburgh, Philadelphia, Berlin, Paris and Rome millions will be coming together to call for complete debt cancellation, more and better aid and trade justice for the world?s poorest people.
LIVE 8 is calling for people across the world to unite in one call ? in 2005 it is your voice we are after, not your money.
All they need is a signature. Visit both of these sites and hopefully we can get something done.

www.live8live.com
And if you want to watch the concert, it is live right now on MTV and VH1.

@Doggy_Bot
none of the god damn money is going to africa so stop saying it! its got nothing to do with giving them money AT ALL
the idea is to put pressure on the g8 leaders to SCRAP AFRICAS DEBT, no money is going to anyone in africa
this isnt a charity even like last time, its about political pressure
hopefully this clears it up this time :)

Doggy_bot: You've lost the idea completely, jpp01uk got it right -- its about pressuring G8 countries (eight biggest countries in terms of GDP) to forgive all of the poor countries' debt and also to double the aid they give for fighting the poverty, HIV, etc in the poorest of the poor countries.
Yes, I signed up the petition, as have millions of others. Do it now at http://www.live8live.com/

I got goosebumps watching the clip from the final act in London with Paul McCartney singing Hey Jude with everyone else. It was awesome. I also enjoyed the Black Eyed Peas performing with the family of Bob Marley.

I've signed also. Everybody should. There's no excuse in todays modern world for a mother to have to watch her children starve to death.
