Hello all,

FUJI Branded/Taiyo Yuden 8x dvd r and r+- 100 pack for $39.95 (these use to be on sale alot but now its 1 every like 6 weeks. This is is at best buy.
Verbatim 8x dvd r and r + 50 pack for 19.95 also at best buy.
Not bad the two best brands on sale at great prices! Just spreading the word...

I also see that Compusa has 100 packs for $20. It is a one day sale, today only. Not sure what the media is, I'm sure it is house branded stuff. Don't know what it typically is, may be something good. Good deal if someone wants to take a chance. I can't decide if I want to try it or not. I have plenty of media on hand, but always looking for a deal.
Shovels Rule!

snoland,
Sorry for the double post first of. Secondly....please never buy compusa media!!!! PLEASE!I bought a 100 pack too not so long ago. I have excellent equipment and spend a lot time backing up my collection of dvd's. I bought the pack 6 months ago and I can tell you about half of those disks do not work anymore. PLease look around and check the reviews. Its not worth it! they are the worst media ever made...PLease take it from me I have burned over 1,000 dvd's and I can tell you it is worth spending more. Its like getting a good deal on a yugo...it may drive but in 2 months it will be dead. Maybe I could have thought of a better analogy but please don't buy them!

... The 100 pack of Fuji 8X +R discs that I purchased coded out as RICOHJPN R02 - not Taiyo Yuden ... I'm kinda disappointed, so I'm returning them and I'm going to get two 50 packs of Verbatims ...

@catfreak
Concerning your Fuji buy: Do you remember if they were made in Japan or Taiwan. The last Fuji MIJ I bought were TY.

That is a good rule of thumb, because you will probably get Prodisc on the dash media from Taiwan. Not that all Taiwanese media is bad but I personally would not recommend Prodisc F-01.

I heard they changed who they got there dies from something to that affect and they lowered the quality of the disks. The first disks I ever burned were Ritek about a year and half ago. They held up for the most part. Maybe out of like 50 burns i lost 3??? Not bad all in all for a noob...

snoland- My understanding of the compusa sale -100 packs for $20. It is a one day sale! that This media is or was fmi brand /generic media . If one wanted to spend slighly more OFFICEDEPOT has the Philips 8 X DVD_R or 8X DVD+R media for $14.99 for a 50ct. cakebox tub so you could get 100 for $30.00 or so plus tax !DVD+R 942-778 $14.99 per Pack SAVE $25 Reg. $39.99 per Pack add to list buy online
DVD-R 586-328 $14.99 per Pack SAVE $25 Reg. $39.99 per Pack add to list buy online ! I have used this media before and it works well so if you can't afford the fuji's but don'twant the FMI compusa stuff this could be an option ! I don't work for philips or compusa just putting the info out for whomever could use it ! hope this helps someone anyhow ! PEACE & HAPPY BURNING!
