lol you cant create your own hdd that would be nice but unfortunitly. :( but if you want a new hdd for your xbox first it needs to be modded (softmodded or chip), and then you just use a regular hdd you can find at any computer store. the xbox's hdd is the same as that of a computer. the xbox itself is literally a computer.

i kno but im sating can i use any old hdd that i have laying around my house i have an 80gb hardrive that i dont need anymore and i was wondering if i could just like build it to make it and xbox hdd?


and yes i realize my xbox is a computer im not retarded lol i wouldnt be asking this stuff if i didnt kno

As long as it's ATA then it's OK, most HDDs support locking so I won't be to worried about that.
