Hi,
I have patched maps on my xbox in the maps folder of the halo 2 folder. however I cannot use them. I Think that the file that has to be altered is the Mainmenu.map file, I also think this is the file that enables a shortcut to the patched map files when you select the menu 'select map' when h2 is running. If you know what to do please tell me... your help would be appreciated!

You already patched the map with a PFF? And FTP'ED into your xbox and put it under maps? If thats the case did download that the maps came with.....did it come with a file called mainmenu.ppf if it did, FTP into your xbox and copy the file mainmenu.map out of your xbox and put it onto your desktop. patch the mainmenu.map with mainmenu.pff. then put mainmenu.map back into your xbox and a menu will pop says if you want to overwrite so hit ovewrwrite. then it should all work. BTW are you using Dothalo?

your using modded maps yes? and you already patched your maps with PPF'S? if thats the case your PFF'Swere suppose to come with a mainmenu.pff so you patch ur mainmenu.map with your mainmenu.pff and you replace your new patched mainmenu.map with ur old one and it should all work.

woot?

You shouldnt need to patch the mainmenu.map if all you did was patch some maps. Did you sign them before copying them to your hdd?

if you got a mappack with a bunch of modded maps and the map names are differnt like take example one of my modded maps name....better red than dead...then u would have to patch the main menu if it the modded maps name was zanibar then no then just replace the map.

woot?

hey, is there a way you can make your mainmenu.map file recognise these maps without individually patching it?
